Instead, "crop" rotations are in the span of a few short decades, ensuring that bleak mono-culture tree plantations replace vibrant, ecologically diverse old growth.

ReplyDeleteThank you for speaking out for big trees and old-growth forests. You are so right. Once you cut old-growth, it's virtually gone forever....at least in any meaningful way. We have so little of these forests left. Let's keep them.
